HOBO Loggers Help Prove Efficiency of Solar
Hot Water Heating System

Guy Marsden, owner and founder of Art Tec, an engineering consulting

  

 company, uses a HOBO® U12 data logger to perform runtime monitoring on his solar hot water heater’s operating system to better understand the system’s performance.

One logger, with three temperature probes, is attached to the system and monitors the temperature coming in and out of the system's heat exchange, at the top of the tank, and the PV voltage every 60 seconds. Once the data is collected, it is downloaded and analyzed using HOBOware Pro software.
